Suela Mero is marked for distinction. Coming from a politically prominent family in Albania, immigrating to Canada under refugee status and embarking on a music career, her life story has all the elements of a classic epic adventure. While her childhood holds painful memories of a family torn apart by political unrest, her future holds the promise of international success.

“Truly Yours,” her first album, which is available on iTunes, Amazon.com, and Amy Street, celebrates her triumph over a tragic childhood, her healing journey following a horrific car accident and her success as a promising artist. The first song on the album, “With You” has received the attention of well known Montreal based DJs Roy Davis Jr. and Miguel Graca. Six new remixes of the song are to be launched as a compilation through Mile End Records in May 2011.

Currently, Suela is working closely with band members & producers to complete her 2nd album set for release in 2011. Suela's latest news: Rockband 2 launched one of the new songs she is featured in 'Fame is Free'. The song will be in Suela's 2nd EP.

She performs regularly in the Montreal area, presenting a polished show with her unique flare for a suave and sultry presentation. Next steps include securing a manager, solidifying her professional team and performing her music to an international audience.

Suela is a Montreal-based singer, songwriter, and musician. She composes music, writes lyrics, and sings in various styles and languages: jazz, pop, new age, rock, electronica, world music (Italian, Greek, Albanian, French, Spanish)

Suela's great passion for music stems from her childhood where she sang with her school ensemble back in Eastern Europe. Suela has sung live at numerous venues in Canada and Europe.

Presently, she is finishing her first album, a sultry mix of pop, electronica, jazz. ethnic and new age music. She has been creating a buzz in some of trendiest Montreal lounge venues with her songs "With You" and "Ride".
